I think it's about time to update my journal. I haven't done anything much on deviantArt, but I've been playing around on some other web tools using Gallery2 (for image galleries:
some mobile phone pics and
some taekwondo pics),
MediaWiki (for collaborative writing projects),
WordPress (for blogging) and
Moodle (for online learning). Most of this is work related (ie pretty boring rather than arty), but I'm hoping to add some more artistic touches to actual web-design projects - at the moment I'm just doing the infrastructure side of things.
Maybe Tim (or someone else) will become a CSS guru in time to make me some cool themes or at least give me a range of photoshopped images for logos and branding and stuff ...
Anyhow sometime I might add some actual creative stuff to deviantArt ...
Okay, I drew some diagrams, and I get most of what you said, but I have even more questions ><
!) Is the ANS divided into the PNS & CNS or are they all separate parts? Or is the CNS divided into the PNS and ANS?
") "rest/digest" - is this collapse/'eat' muscles?
£) Seratonin...we did something about that being a "feel good" chemical that was triggered by light or something, which is supposedly why you're depressed in the winter (
Just a random question really...what else is it connected to?

2) rest / digest is the normal parasympathetic response ... but if you have an extreme parasympathetic response (overshoot) rest can become collapse and digest can become "eat your own muscles" ...
3) There is a thing called SAD - seasonal affective disorder - which is a mood disorder related to circadian rhythms (day - night cycles or biorhythms) ... biorhythms are co-ordinated by melatonin, but seratonin is also implicated in depression ...
... as for what is connected to what ... there are many views about the interconnectedness of the universe ...
